For more information, visit: https://waagnerbiro-bridgeservices.com Job Description The Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules for bridge construction projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives, contractual requirements, and authority standards. The role includes preparing resource-loaded schedules, performance KPIs, risk assessments, and mitigation plans to support timely and cost-effective project delivery. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using planning software (Primavera P6 preferred). Prepare and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor project progress. Create and update resource-loaded schedules reflecting manpower, machinery, and materials. Prepare manpower histograms and plant/equipment histograms. Conduct Risk Analysis, including identification, assessment, and quantification of project risks. Develop and implement mitigation plans / Plan of Works (POW) and recovery schedules for delays or risks. Perform cost loading and link cost elements with project schedules. Monitor progress, highlight variances, analyze critical paths, and propose corrective actions. Coordinate with construction, engineering, procurement, and commercial teams to update schedule inputs. Prepare weekly and monthly planning and progress reports for internal and client review. Support management in decision-making through schedule forecasts and risk impact analysis. Ensure compliance with UAE project standards and authority requirements (RTA, ADM, etc.). Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering 7–10 years of planning experience, specifically in bridge construction projects in the UAE. Expertise in: KPI reporting Resource loading Manpower histograms Plant/equipment histograms Risk Analysis (qualitative & quantitative) Mitigation Plan / POW preparation Cost loading Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint). Knowledge of RTA procedures and standards is a strong advantage. Excellent analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
