JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for a highly experienced Planning Engineer to oversee and manage planning and scheduling activities on major construction projects in the UAE. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of local regulations, authority approvals (ADM, Tracheas, etc.), and hands-on expertise with Primavera P6. The role requires collaboration with project teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure timely and efficient project execution.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of relevant experience, with at least 7 years in the UAE.
  • Proven track record of working on high-rise buildings, infrastructure, or mixed-use developments in the UAE.
  • Expert in Primavera P6, MS Project, and advanced Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of FIDIC contracts and UAE labor and construction laws.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
  • PMP, PSP, or other project management certifications are an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Dubai Municipality, Abu Dhabi Municipality, Trakhees, DEWA, or ADM is a strong plus.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain baseline programs using Primavera P6 in alignment with project scope, milestones, and contractual obligations.
  • Create Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), resource-loaded schedules, and progress tracking mechanisms.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders including clients, consultants, subcontractors, and government authorities.
  • Monitor project progress and prepare periodic reports including lookahead schedules, S-curves, and earned value analysis.
  • Identify potential delays and critical paths; recommend corrective actions or mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare Extension of Time (EOT) claims and support documentation based on delay analysis.
  • Attend and participate in weekly/monthly progress meetings with clients and internal teams.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE authority requirements and construction best practices.
  • Coordinate with procurement and cost control teams for alignment of material delivery and budgeting with the project timeline.
  • Analyze project risks and provide strategic input to reduce delay impact and cost overruns.
