• Create Work Breakdown Structures (WBS): Deconstruct large, complex projects into smaller, manageable tasks. For a landscape and pool project, this would include distinct phases such as:
• Site Mobilization & Excavation
• Pool Structural Works (rebar, shotcrete/concrete)
• Waterproofing and Tiling
• MEP Works (plumbing, filtration systems, lighting)
• Hardscaping (paving, decking, pergolas)
• Softscaping (soil preparation, irrigation installation, planting)
• Testing, Commissioning, and Handover
• Critical Path Method (CPM): Identify the sequence of tasks that determines the project’s total duration. This is crucial for understanding which activities cannot be delayed without affecting the project completion date.
