Job Title: Planning Engineer
Location: Dubai
Employment Type: Full Time

REQUIREMENTS

  • 4-8 years of experience as a Planning Engineer with main contractors in the UAE on high-rise and mid-rise building projects.
  • Bachelors degree in civil engineering.
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: AED1,000.00 - AED20,000.00 per month

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the Baseline Programme in accordance with contractual obligations and project requirements.
  • Prepare method statements to accompany the Baseline Programme, ensuring clarity in project execution strategies.
  • Generate and manage project schedules, including but not limited to [Submittals & Approvals Schedule, Material Procurement Schedule, Subcontractor Appointment Schedule, Resource Histograms, Cash Flow Projections, Progress Curves, Major Equipment & Plant Schedule]
  • Monitor and update site progress records, ensuring accurate reflection of actual vs. planned progress.
  • Develop 15-day and 30-day look-ahead programmes, aligning with project timelines and site requirements.
  • Ensure the timely procurement of materials and appointment of subcontractors, coordinating with relevant departments.
  • Maintain and update as-built records, providing a comprehensive comparison of planned vs. actual progress.
  • Assist in Extension of Time (EOT) claim preparations, including delay analysis and supporting documentation under the guidance of the Planning Manager/Senior Planning Engineer.
  • Implement Earned Value Management (EVM) through cost-loaded programmes to track project performance.
  • Establish and enforce effective time management systems, optimizing project efficiency and resource utilization.
  • Ensure strict adherence to project schedules, coordinating submittals, approvals, and information flow among stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups with subcontractors, ensuring their schedules align with project timelines.
  • Integrate and monitor subcontractor programmes within the Baseline Programme, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Prepare and submit detailed progress reports, highlighting project milestones, risks, and deviations.
  • Document and maintain site photographs as part of project progress records.
  • Identify and analyze schedule slippages, providing recommendations and corrective actions to the Project Manager.
  • Coordinate and liaise with other departments, as delegated by the Planning Manager/Senior Planning Engineer.
  • Prepare productivity reports, evaluating labor and resource efficiency to enhance project performance.
