The Planning Internship is a unique opportunity to be a key part of a team, working with certified planners, landscape architects, transportation and municipal engineers on a wide variety of projects. The position requires an individual who is excited to be a part of a high performing team and has a strong desire to support a broad range of projects. This position is intended to provide insights into a career in community planning. Our internship includes hands-on, real client experience which prepares you for full-time employment, and completing an internship with J-U-B gives you a leg up for our full-time positions post-graduation! In this role, you will apply your knowledge and skills to support a variety of planning and development activities, including: Collecting data, conducting research, drafting preliminary sections, and preparing written reports for comprehensive and specialized planning projects. Assisting with meetings and workshops by preparing invitations, agendas, and notes, and coordinating logistics. Supporting land development application processing by tracking projects, gathering information, and completing forms for Project Manager review. Working with existing Style Guides and creating new ones for Word documents, including reports and display materials. Providing graphic design assistance as needed. Requirements Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in planning, Geography, Landscape Architecture, Business Administration or related field Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to collate and present information, in written and graphic form Documentation, communication, and organizational skills Prepare timely, quality responses Pay: $20.00-$27.00 an hour/Determined by experience and based on your year in college.
