Salary: £60,000 per annum

Role Overview:
A Planning Manager is required to join a growing organisation working across Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. This is a permanent, full-time position based at their office in Twickenham.
The successful candidate will lead on planning applications and manage the process from feasibility through to submission, ensuring all documentation meets current planning regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the planning process for renewable energy projects, primarily PV and BESS applications.
• Prepare, submit, and track planning applications through local authority processes.
• Conduct initial site feasibility assessments and support project development teams.
• Provide strategic planning advice to internal stakeholders.
• Manage relationships with planning authorities, consultants, and community stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with planning legislation and relevant policy frameworks.
• Represent the company at public meetings and consultations when necessary.

Requirements:

• MRTPI qualification (full membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute).
• Strong working knowledge of UK planning regulations and frameworks.
• Previous experience with planning applications for renewable energy or infrastructure projects.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently.
• Confident communicator and capable of liaising with various stakeholders.
• A self-starter who is able to think on their feet and work with minimal supervision.

Additional Information:

• No PPE required for this role.
• No uniform or dress code requirements.
• A company vehicle is not provided, but travel expenses will be reimbursed where applicable.
