A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PLANNING MANAGER As a Planning Manager, you are responsible for ensuring that our aerospace company operates in a cost-effective manner and that your employees meet the performance standards for productivity and quality. You lead the planning group, which includes developing and implementing objectives as well as performance measures to ensure the department operates smoothly. To help with manufacturing production, you plan jobs and address any deviations in operations through the use of statistical techniques. Your responsibilities also include reviewing and approving harness assembly drawings (HADs) and ensuring we maintain compliance with AS9100 requirements. In addition, you review and approve work travelers and help to solve any other production-related problems that arise during the entire process. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS FOR A PLANNING MANAGER / MANUFACTURING PRODUCTION MANAGER Bachelor's degree OR 4+ years of aerospace-related experience 2+ years of management experience Training on Six Sigma and lean manufacturing Do you have excellent verbal and written communication skills? Are you highly organized and attentive to detail? Can you effectively prioritize tasks while demonstrating good time management? Do you work well both independently and as part of a team?
