We are seeking a Planning Manager who has a clear vision of excellence in food manufacturing and , crucially, knows how to achieve it. The position is ideal for an individual who is eager to transition from spreadsheet management to authentic leadership, leading our planning processes to success and ensuring we effectively meet our customer’s needs.

EXPERIENCE

Experience as a Planning Manager in a Food or FMCG Manufacturing Business.

SKILLS:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective cross-department collaboration.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and demand forecasting techniques.
  • Commercial Awareness

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage production plans to ensure efficient operations within the manufacturing facility.
  • Co-ordinate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to optimize inventory levels and reduce waste.
  • Liaise effectively with Production Managers and Procurement Team to ensure the smooth and effective running of planning
  • Analyse and incorporate the sales forecasts to adjust planning strategies accordingly.
  • Implement and maintain effective planning tools (e.g. Excel Workbooks) to streamline processes.
  • Lead and mentor the production planner, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations, particularly in the context of free-from products.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning processes and overall operational efficiency.
  • Collate, Analyse and Report Production KPI’s
