EXPERIENCE

Experience as a Planning Manager in a Food or FMCG Manufacturing Business.

SKILLS:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective cross-department collaboration.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and demand forecasting techniques.
  • Commercial Awareness
Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage production plans to ensure efficient operations within the manufacturing facility.
  • Co-ordinate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to optimize inventory levels and reduce waste.
  • Liaise effectively with Production Managers and Procurement Team to ensure the smooth and effective running of planning
  • Analyse and incorporate the sales forecasts to adjust planning strategies accordingly.
  • Implement and maintain effective planning tools (e.g. Excel Workbooks) to streamline processes.
  • Lead and mentor the production planner, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations, particularly in the context of free-from products.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning processes and overall operational efficiency.
