JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly experienced Planning Manager with a strong background in construction project planning and control. The ideal candidate must have at least 10 years of experience in the construction industry, hold an engineering degree, and be fluent in Arabic. This role is responsible for overseeing project planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil or related discipline).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in planning within the construction industry.
  • Fluent in Arabic (spoken and written) – mandatory.
  • Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Deep understanding of construction methodologies and project lifecycle.
  • Experience in preparing extension of time (EOT) claims and delay analysis.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in Project Management or Construction Engineering.
  • PMP or equivalent certification.
  • Experience in large-scale infrastructure or mixed-use developments in the MENA region.
  • Familiarity with FIDIC contracts and project controls.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules using industry-standard planning tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure alignment of planning activities with project goals.
  • Monitor project progress and performance against baseline schedules.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on schedule status, forecasts, and delays.
  • Identify potential risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Support tender planning and resource allocation during bidding stages.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure planning requirements are met.
  • Lead and mentor planning engineers and support staff.
