Description
Planning Manager This role sits within our Commercial Business Unit, responsible for building major projects like The Shard and Battersea Power Station. You will be working on a £300m+ major project in Central London. The role includes collaborating with the planning function on allocated project and contributes, as required. You will be responsible for verifying projects/ tenders to ensure alignment to define planning processes; ensure projects/ tenders are appropriately planned, scheduled and monitored. You role also involves supporting the Project Management function in the delivery of the project, as required, ensuring they are delivered on time and profitably. You’ll be responsible for: · Developing detailed plans taking full cognisance of logistics/site/project constraints · Interface with Project Team, contributing to the production of the weekly progress report to the project team and understanding functional obligations under form of contract. · Review and capture productivity to measure progress. · Communicate effectively with the client, project team and stakeholders. · Incorporate sustainable design and procurement process within integrated programmes. · Ensure health and safety through programme integration. · Establish and oversee project work plan and deadlines. · Undertake tasks required to full fill the requirements of the project/assignment. · Responsible for coordinating activities for the team. · Work collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition, and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work. You’ll need to have: · The competency to produce programmes and sequence plans with minimal supervision. · Be an intermediate software user; Ability to provide schedule outputs in various formats to suit the audience/context. · Established experience in built environment and with projects. · Understand different procurement routes and types and forms of contract. · A basic understanding of Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) stages. · Able to respond to all client/stakeholder requests effectively and sensitively. · Communicate & present to project team on programme drivers, goals & issues, etc. · Working towards professional qualification (e.g. CIOB, APM, PMI). · Other relevant qualifications specific to local requirements.
