PLANNING - SHAPING TOMORROW’S COMMUNITIES TODAY
Would you like to play a big part in making sustainable development a reality? If so, we would like you to join our Planning Team where you can maximise your career potential and make a material difference across Wiltshire.
We are committed to balancing the delivery of new housing and economic growth, as well as promoting good urban design principles and protecting the county’s significantly important natural and historic assets.
As a Planning Officer, you will process planning and listed building applications, conduct site visits, engage in wider consultations, and assess a wide range of development proposals. There will be plenty of opportunities to develop your experience and skills within the development management team through appraising development impacts within settlements and the open countryside, as well as in National Landscapes, the Green Belt, and proposals affecting Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas and many other sensitive environments.
We are seeking highly motivated, enthusiastic and professional individuals who have a real passion for the economy and environment, and who want to make a difference to our people and communities within Wiltshire. As a Planning Officer, you will hold a degree in planning, or related discipline with aspiration to become a member of the RTPI.
If you are passionate about contributing to sustainable development and creating a better living and working environment across Wiltshire, then Wiltshire Council’s Planning Team encourages you to apply for these exciting job opportunities.
