Context We are seeking an experienced Planning & Scheduling Lead to join a prestigious masterplanning project here in Riyadh. This role demands a dynamic and detail-oriented professional with proven expertise in scheduling and planning for urban development or large-scale infrastructure projects within Saudi Arabia or the GCC region. Missions/Main Duties Lead, develop, and oversee the comprehensive planning and scheduling activities throughout the masterplanning project lifecycle (initiation, planning, execution, monitoring & control, and closeout). Establish and maintain the master schedule in Primavera P6 (including P6 EPPM/online), integrating inputs from all stakeholders, discipline leads, and subcontractors. Interface with project managers, engineers, clients, and external stakeholders to ensure schedule alignment with project objectives and key deliverables. Facilitate schedule risk analysis, critical path assessments, and resource allocation strategies. Prepare and present progress reports, schedule forecasts, and recovery plans for management and client review. Lead schedule review meetings, workshops, and coordination sessions; identify and mitigate schedule delays. Ensure compliance with PMO procedures, project controls frameworks, and contractual requirements. Mentor and support the project planning team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration. Coordinate the integration of schedule data with cost, procurement, and document control teams for holistic project controls. Profile/Skills Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Construction Management or related discipline (Master’s preferred). Experience: Minimum 15 years of relevant planning & scheduling experience, with a strong track record on major masterplanning, urban development, or large infrastructure projects. Regional Experience: Proven professional experience in Saudi Arabia or GCC (mandatory). Technical Skills: Expert-level proficiency in Primavera P6 (including P6 EPPM/online). Strong command of MS Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Familiarity with project collaboration and reporting tools. Core Competencies: Advanced knowledge of project controls methodologies and scheduling best practices. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills. Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation abilities. Ability to lead and inspire planning teams within a multicultural environment. Preferred: Professional certifications such as PMP, PMI-SP, or equivalent. Experience working with consultants, government entities, and international project teams.
