Job ID: 40879  |  Location: Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan   The job holder in BU Catalysts in Japan plans the production of various resources and operations independently and autonomously within the framework of generally applicable guidelines with the aim of achieving optimum efficiency in a complex environment. He/she has the tasks of planning & scheduling the production specifications in accordance with the production quantity specifications by allocating the products to be manufactured, with the plant management and experience as well as the available capacities, ordering raw materials, ensuring timely availability, coordinating the dispatch dates, and ensuring processing via ERP & Kinaxis system. Responsibilities Production planning & Scheduling Direct and lead all activities within the scheduling portion of production and/or tolling Coordinate schedule according production capacity, RM availability, priorities etc with different interfaces Plan raw material for the scheduling horizon Ensure correctness of scheduling data in System for an automatic and functioning availability check (ATP) Make recommendations to Operations for updates to BoMs and recipes for accurate data in SAP Direct all activities associated with production trials (ROH ordering, scheduling, BoM/recipe recommendations) Plan for designated product(s) in tactical horizon period (4-18 months) securing business plan accordingly   Inventory management Determine RM requirements according to quantity, quality, and delivery date to fulfil the production plan Ensure agreed safety stocks of raw materials Manage inventory to improve the quality of stock, absolute value, and replenishment strategy Monitor inventories, if necessary, initiate corrective measures Review and adjust short/mid. term purchase plan and call off strategic raw material   Coordination of activities / communication Alert communication (capacity limitation due to problems, material shortage etc) to all the affected parties Serve as main POC for all scheduling escalations Participate in routine meetings with global planners, OtC for alignment of production per supply chain Maintain active communication with SC Mgmt, Planners, CSD, Quality, Production, Maintenance, and Logistics Direct and lead planner activities in S&OP process for applicable segments   Continuous improvement / increase of efficiency Responsible for team cost savings initiatives, belt projects, and team project initiatives Collaborate in development of new planning systems and logistics processes Manage creation and maintenance of SOPs supporting supply chain initiatives Responsible for reporting performance tracking for all production processes  Requirements   Education Experience Additional Qualifications/ Skills  Bachelor’s degree from accredited University or College required, OR corresponding professional experience can be considered in place of a degree Business level Japanese & English Minimum of 2 years’ experience in production planning, supply chain or production Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Organization skills, Experience with SAP Material management, Warehouse management modules or other EPR/MRP systems, Business level in English 応募に関する注意事項:当ポジションでは、海外からの転居および就労ビザ取得のサポートは行っておりません。そのため、日本国籍または日本国内で有効な就労ビザ、もしくは永住権をお持ちの方を対象としています。なお、日本国内での転居に関してはサポートを提供いたします。 Important Notice for Applicants:This position does not offer support for relocation from overseas or for obtaining a work visa.
