POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking for an enthusiastic planner/scheduler practitioner to support aircraft sustainment execution and minor project efforts. The successful candidate will be well versed in planning and scheduling best practices individually and as part of a wider team. You will possess solid knowledge and in developing planning artifacts, schedule updates and in team schedule development. Possess the ability to apply methodologies and knowledge to develop, maintain, analyze, and provide visibility of executable program plans leading to an effective integrated master schedule development. This role is based at either Williamtown or Brisbane as part of the Integrated Planning & Scheduling team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in Project Management with 6+ years’ experience and/or 10+ years of experience of related work experience in scheduling or program planning.
  • Experience in operating Project Scheduling in a maintenance and/or aeronautical environment
  • Knowledge of project planning principles and techniques to achieve desired project outcome, including resource management
  • Knowledge of planning & scheduling theory, concepts and principles required to deliver project outcomes
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Develops collaborative relationships in a team-based environment and builds rapport and trust among stakeholders
  • Prior experience with OPP & Cobra in the Defence Industry will be advantageous.
  • Experience in maintenance/project scheduling in a part 145-environment advantageous but not essential
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen and hold, or have ability to obtain, an Australian defence security clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Independently develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains an integrated plan and schedule to meet program and/or project requirements in accordance with project management industry standards.
  • Performs studies, analysis (trend, variance, impact), risk assessments to determine impacts, and constraints involving product development, production rates, process improvement, program initiatives.
  • Creates schedule, reports, metrics, change activity, communicates and updates plan regularly throughout lifecycle of program or project.
  • Works to improve project management processes, business systems, and implement best practices that support project decision makers.
  • Directs all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion.
  • Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives.
  • Assists customers to develop performance recovery plan and ensure all project control systems are in place to support ongoing support to stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to mentor and lead individuals and develop junior members
