About the role The Planning Strategist is responsible for the creation and management of TV media plans. This position is highly visible within the organization and critical to the success of Continuum’s sales initiatives. We’re looking for an individual who thrives within a team environment, but self-sufficient enough to perform with minimal oversight. The Planning Strategist will work closely with Sales and other internal teams to provide strategic recommendations based on available media resources while managing daily account requests and implementing plan revisions. We create and execute media plans for various advertisers across multiple industry verticals, so a strong knowledge of the media landscape and understanding of basic advertising principles is preferred. What you'll do Build strategic TV media plans utilizing proprietary tools, data, and research Collaborate with the Sales team on accommodating RFPs and providing strategic direction Communicate with media partners regarding campaign parameters and platform capabilities Provide planning insight, pricing scenarios, and plan revisions as needed Collaborate with internal teams on campaign analysis and optimization Become an expert in the entire sales and operations workflow to effectively communicate with both internal and external partners Contribute to strategy and product development to help improve the team’s effectiveness with managing plan requests Requirements What we’re looking for Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis on advertising, communications, or related field preferred 1-3 years media experience at either a cable/broadcast network, media agency, or similar platform Thorough understanding of all key media terminology and media math Detail-oriented, organized, and a dedicated team player Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Excellent interpersonal communication and writing skills Proficiency in all Microsoft office properties with an emphasis on Excel Positive attitude with flexibility to work in a rapidly changing environment What we offer We provide employees with an environment in which they can develop their skills and grow as individuals within our team.
