Job Description The Planning Technician - Material Control provides all aspects of planner support to Material Control at the Outfit Fabrication Facility. This position will be expected to provide technical assistance to the Material Control Team by executing material dispositions of cataloged material to support material availability. This position will also support timely adjustments to our inventory systems ensuring accurate inventory and will support cycle counting and large inventory projects as needed. Required/Preferred Education/Training High school diploma/GED required. Graduate of BIW Manufacturing or Design Apprentice preferred. Required/Preferred Experience Three years' experience in planning, manufacturing and/or design with a strong background in material control and inventory storage practices preferred. Competent usage of common PC-based systems (Microsoft Office, etc.) required. Strong knowledge of work management systems (SAP,MACPAC, ESS, JIRA, FLOC, etc.) preferred. Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. Ability to work in a team environment. Must meet all requirements of the physical task analysis for Material Planner in manufacturing environment.
