Job Details Level: Experienced Job Location: Corporate Headquarters - Shelton, WA 98584 Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $26.00 - $28.00 Hourly Job Shift: Day POSITION DESCRIPTION The Shellfish Processing Plant Administrator is responsible for coordinating administrative and inventory-related functions that support daily processing operations. This role ensures timely ordering, tracking, and distribution of packaging materials, maintains accurate inventory records, and reviews plant purchases to support efficient, compliant, and cost-effective plant operations. The Plant Administrator may be required to work in other departments as needed. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Packaging & Materials Management • Order packaging, labels, and related processing materials based on production schedules and inventory levels • Maintain accurate packaging and materials inventory records • Monitor usage trends and adjust ordering to prevent shortages or overstock • Receive, verify, and store packaging materials according to plant procedures Inventory Distribution • Deliver packaging and materials to processing crews as needed throughout production shifts • Coordinate with supervisors to ensure crews have appropriate materials for each product run • Track material issuance and returns to maintain accountability Purchasing & Cost Control • Review plant purchase orders and invoices for accuracy and compliance with budget guidelines • Coordinate with vendors regarding availability, and delivery schedules • Assist management in monitoring purchasing trends and identifying cost-saving opportunities Administrative Support • Maintain organized records related to inventory, purchasing, and vendor communications • Prepare basic reports related to inventory levels, purchasing activity, and usage • Support audits, inspections, or internal reviews related to materials and purchasing Compliance & Safety • Follow food safety, quality assurance, and regulatory requirements applicable to shellfish processing • Ensure packaging materials meet regulatory and customer specifications • Maintain clean, organized storage areas in compliance with plant standards Qualifications Physical Demands The employee may be required to stoop, bend, kneel, twist, and squat The vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus Must be able to speak and hear well enough to communicate with co-workers, supervisors and managers Must be able to use hands for repetitive simple grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
