Description Belstra Milling Company is searching for an individual to join our team. Belstra is in search of a Plant Operator. Belstra Milling is committed to producing the highest quality, most nutritious feeds available. Additionally, as a proud certified Safe Feed/Safe Food facility, our manufacturing and quality assurance processes and standards exceed current industry regulations. The operator must work in compliance with all the company policies, local, state, and federal policies, laws, and regulations. Job Duties and Responsibilities (included but not limited to): Manufacture feed in accordance with quality assurance policies, standard operating procedures, and current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Collect feed samples and perform quality assurance tests Set up hand add medications, and properly record medication usage Load and unload trailers as needed Operate forklift, semi-truck in yard (willing to train and does not require CDL), or other machinery used in the warehouse Complete appropriate paperwork and reports accurately and timely Inspect incoming material to verify the condition and quality of the product received matches what is stated on the receiving documents Rotate stock according to FIFO Perform routine housekeeping Dump totes and bags in the mixer, depackaging or receiving Requirements Skills and Requirements (included but not limited to): Mathematical, Reading, and Writing competency Basic computer skills Strong critical thinking and multi-tasking abilities Operation/Control monitoring Instructing/Communicating and active listening Physical Demands: Ability to regularly lift 60-pounds Climb ladders and stairs and work at heights with good body balance Work near moving mechanical parts Ability to work in dusty, cold, hot, humid environment Withstand exposure to seasonal weather conditions Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment This position requires the ability to walk, kneel, bend, climb, etc. Education and Experience: High school diploma or G.E.D. Previous warehouse or feed manufacturing experience preferred, but not required
Responsibilities
The Plant Associate will manufacture feed according to quality assurance policies and perform quality assurance tests. They will also operate machinery, load and unload trailers, and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
