Plant Controller Location: General Escobedo, Nuevo León Summary Core Molding Technologies is seeking a Plant Controller to lead all financial operations for our Monterrey manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective cost control, regulatory compliance, and strategic financial support for plant leadership. The Plant Controller partners closely with Operations to drive profitability, optimize manufacturing costs, support business planning, and provide financial insights that improve operational performance. This position oversees accounting, cost accounting, budgeting, inventory controls, cash management, and financial compliance while leading a high-performing finance team. Key Responsibilities * Lead all plant financial operations, including General Accounting, Cost Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax, Cash Management, and Capital Management * Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports * Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes * Analyze financial performance and explain budget variances while recommending corrective actions * Monitor manufacturing costs, including labor, material, and overhead, to improve profitability * Oversee inventory valuation, cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory controls * Analyze and monitor capital expenditures (CAPEX) and investment performance * Partner with Operations to evaluate production performance, capacity utilization, and cost improvement opportunities * Ensure compliance with US GAAP, Mexican accounting standards (NIF), tax regulations, and company policies * Strengthen internal controls and support internal and external audits * Drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve financial and operational performance * Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies * Lead, coach, and develop the plant finance team * Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field * CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification preferred * 5+ years of progressive financial leadership experience in a manufacturing environment * Strong background in cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and inventory controls * Experience supporting manufacturing operations and plant leadership * Experience with ERP systems (Epicor, Oracle, SAP, AS400, or similar) * Advanced Microsoft Excel skills * Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles preferred * Bilingual English and Spanish required Key Competencies * Financial leadership * Business partnership * Analytical thinking * Strategic decision-making * Communication and influence * Team development * Continuous improvement * Accountability and execution Why Join Us * Play a key leadership role in a growing manufacturing operation * Partner directly with plant leadership to drive business performance * Lead financial strategy, cost optimization, and operational improvement initiatives * Competitive compensation and benefits * Collaborative culture focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence Recruiters We do not accept unsolicited resumes from third-party agencies. *
