For our Powertrain plant located in Stadtallendorf, we are looking for a team member who faces the challenges of the international automotive and industrial markets with openness, flexibility and enthusiasm.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and present annual site budgets and interim forecasts to management and Corporate Finance. Also prepare Defined Contributions reports on a weekly basis.
  • Manage the local general ledger and account reconciliation process: process adjusting journal entries and prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Analyze plant labor, variable costs, operational spending, and inventory transactions to identify key improvement opportunities to help plant management optimize site performance.
  • Lead development and analysis of quarterly standard costs and manage the physical inventory and cycle count programs.
  • Assist in preparing and analyzing capital expenditure requests, including tracking and reporting actual spends versus the approved levels.
  • Monitor and enforce internal controls and ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures and SOX; includes assisting in the coordination of internal and external audits.
  • Support the analytical and special projects needs of the operations management teams. Provide finance leadership for cost savings initiatives and track the improvements to gauge the effectiveness of management decisions.
  • Development, analysis, and interpretation of statistical and accounting information to monitor operating results, performance against budget and prior year, and other matters dealing with the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the facility.
  • Responsible for monthly accounting close activities and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to US GAAP and HGB, as well as compliance with internal and external economic regulations.
  • Independently identify and manage projects to improve profitability across the plant.
  • Preparation of SOX documentation based on process descriptions and samples for the Finance department, as well as collaboration with department heads for other areas (HR, Purchasing, IT).
  • Ensuring compliance with corporate rules and national and international laws affecting the accuracy of profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
  • Preparation of monthly financial statements, KPIs, and corporate reporting, currently via data uploads to the F-M internal OneStream system.
  • Weekly, monthly, and annual internal and corporate reporting according to current guidelines.
  • Review of purchase requisitions and investment projects.
  • Obtaining credit reports and validating new and existing customers.
  • Preparation and analysis of cost center reports and contribution margin accounting (BAB).
  • Determination of productivity and profitability of orders (post-calculation) and products.
  • Cash management, monitoring outgoing payments, and implementing measures within receivables management.
  • Reports to the Plant Manager and the Group Controller of TENNECO
