Responsibilities
  • Working collaboratively with direct reports in solving operational problems and supporting accounting processes not moved to FSC; elevating operational challenges to senior management
  • Lead the plant’s financial forecasting and reporting processes (monthly, quarterly, annual).
  • Provide financial support and challenge to the Plant Manager and leadership team, influencing decision-making and strategy.
  • Review and analyse plant performance, including standard costing, variance analysis (materials, labour, overheads, subcontracting), and margin management.
  • Drive financial performance improvements across all operational areas, including material spend, labour productivity, overhead control and working capital optimisation
  • Evaluate and support decisions on capacity expansion, automation and make-or-buy opportunities
  • Prepare financial justifications (CERs) and monitor project returns
  • Maintain standard costs, lead the annual re-costing process, and collaborate with supply chain to manage inventory levels
  • Ensure strong internal controls, compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and adherence to corporate accounting policies
  • Lead, coach, and develop the finance team, building capability and supporting career growth.
  • Assisting with the preparation of required monthly, quarterly and annual reports for the Legal Entity
  • Conducting a quality review of statutory tax reports.
  • Developing ad hoc reports for authorities and internal clients/stakeholders
  • Ensuring the chapter of account is consistent with local and global books
  • Reviewing financial data periodically to ensure fairness and completeness
  • Conducting hands-on training in the various tools and procedures used to accomplish the job
  • Supporting local and cross-functional projects and initiatives
