Thrive Freeze Dry, a rapidly growing freeze-dried manufacturing company is recruiting for experienced an Electrician for our office in Langley BC reporting to the Maintenance Manager. This opportunity is for the day/night shift primarily responsible for conducting preventative and corrective maintenance of manufacturing equipment and troubleshooting various automation and control systems and installing or repairing equipment as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Electrical Red Seal certification is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience in a food manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong experience with industrial electrical installation and maintenance.
• Knowledge of PLC systems, industrial automation, and control systems is an advantage.
• Proficiency in the use of maintenance tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Basic computer literacy, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
• Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset to work with cross-functional teams.

• Install and improve electrical installation for machines and equipment, such as robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers, following electrical code and drawings.
• Troubleshooting malfunctioning equipment and electrical device, such as transformers, motors, lighting fixtures, conveyors, processing equipment.
• Plan and execute advanced corrective and preventive maintenance, applying in-depth knowledge of mechanical theories and principles.
• Drive measurable improvements in both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, minimizing equipment downtime and enhancing reliability.
• Accurately document daily activities, including maintenance logs, downtime reports, completed work orders, preventive maintenance records, inventory slips, material requisitions, and Maintenance Work Requests.
• Ensure proper lubrication and inspection of all equipment checkpoints, maintaining optimal performance and longevity.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure conformances of standards.
