Description

Thrive Freeze Dry, a rapidly growing freeze-dried manufacturing company is recruiting for experienced an Electrician for our office in Langley BC reporting to the Maintenance Manager. This opportunity is for the night shift primarily responsible for conducting preventative and corrective maintenance of manufacturing equipment and troubleshooting various automation and control systems and installing or repairing equipment as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Electrical Red Seal certification is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience in a food manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong experience with industrial electrical installation and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of PLC systems, industrial automation, and control systems is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in the use of maintenance tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Basic computer literacy, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset to work with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
  • Install and improve electrical installation for machines and equipment, such as robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers, following electrical code and drawings.
  • Troubleshooting malfunctioning equipment and electrical device, such as transformers, motors, lighting fixtures, conveyors, processing equipment.
  • Plan and execute advanced corrective and preventive maintenance, applying in-depth knowledge of mechanical theories and principles.
  • Drive measurable improvements in both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, minimizing equipment downtime and enhancing reliability.
  • Accurately document daily activities, including maintenance logs, downtime reports, completed work orders, preventive maintenance records, inventory slips, material requisitions, and Maintenance Work Requests.
  • Ensure proper lubrication and inspection of all equipment checkpoints, maintaining optimal performance and longevity.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure conformances of standards.
