EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in engineering (mechanical, civil, industrial, or manufacturing) required.

EXPERIENCE:

• 3-5 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing and packaging environment preferred.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• Excellent computer skills (MS Office, AutoCAD, Rockwell, etc.).
• Experience in CAD (2D and 3D modeling)
• Experience with electrical systems, controls systems, and mechanical layout of equipment.
• Demonstrates clear, concise and relevant communication (verbal and written) within and across departments.
• Ability to share information, transfer knowledge and seek input.
• Problem solving skills; ability to identify source of problem; execute solution and document the issue; escalate to management.
• Approach all interactions and work situations in a positive and respectful manner.
• Ability to prepare and present clear and accurate reports.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule as required, including weekends.

• Design and measure methods/metrics to further ensure quality of product and process efficiencies.
• Assist in development of efficient and effective ways to use people, machines, materials and new technologies.
• Develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output.
• Maintains knowledge of best practices in manufacturing methods, and trends and developments in technology and equipment; applies this knowledge to maintain the organization’s competitive edge.
• Propose and document production systems to maintain efficiency, reduce cost, improve sustainability and maximize profitability while adhering to industry standards.
• Work with equipment manufacturers, engineering firms, and managers to develop cost-effective and working production systems to improve production output.
• Design layout of equipment and workspaces in collaboration with engineers and teams.
• Provide engineering support to production and maintenance.
• Manage execution of capital projects.
• Support and participate in the organization’s Continual Improvement Program and Quality Management System.
