Plant Senior Financial Analyst
Location: Salina, Kansas
Compensation: $85,000 – $90,000 per year
Job Type: Full-Time | On-Site | Direct Hire

OVERVIEW:

A leading manufacturer in Salina, Kansas is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their plant leadership team. This role is essential in maintaining financial controls, analyzing plant performance, and supporting key decision-making.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in a finance/accounting role, preferably in manufacturing
  • Strong technical understanding of finance, forecasting, and cost analysis
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • ERP experience preferred (JDE, Hyperion a plus)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Proven ability to present financial data to non-financial audiences
  • High level of integrity and professionalism
  • Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams

Responsibilities
  • Manage and support financial operations including purchasing, production, shipping, and inventory control
  • Prepare accurate monthly and quarterly forecasts of operating expenses and capital expenditures
  • Process journal entries and support month-end close
  • Maintain and improve financial controls and ensure policy compliance
  • Conduct cycle counts, physical inventories, and fixed asset tracking
  • Partner with capital project managers to prepare, monitor, and close capital expenditure requests
  • Analyze cost reduction initiatives and provide insights to plant leadership
  • Monitor plant spending and produce monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
  • Use financial tools (Coupa, Hyperion) to track and manage overhead expenses
  • Ensure accurate document retention and accounting processes
  • Support payroll and other financial functions as needed
