JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Class 2 Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting plant machinery using our Class 2 plant lorry to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to handle heavy lifting as needed. If you have experience in the Plant Hire industry and a passion for delivering exceptional service, we want to hear from you.
Approx. 50hours per week, with occasional weekends
Based accross or PE22 8DR depot and our LN9 6SB Depot
Please do not apply if you do not have a class 2 license

SKILLS

  • MUST have a clean Class 2 license and up to date CPCs
  • Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Experience and knowledge within the plant hire industry.
  • Strong commercial driving skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and team members.
  • Experience with heavy lifting, ensuring safety protocols are followed during loading and unloading.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to designated locations.
  • Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling of all products.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies.
  • Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, WTD and company policies while on the road.
  • Assist with warehouse duties as required, including washing machines down and greasing them up if required upon their return
