Provide automakers with cutting-edge equipment and solutions to develop tomorrow’s clean and connected car.   Location: Toledo, Ohio (New Site Launch)Department: Human ResourcesReports to: Plant Director / Regional HR Mission As the Site HR Manager for our new Toledo, OH location, you will lead the full Human Resources function and play a critical role in launching, shaping, and supporting the site’s people strategy. You will serve as a strategic partner to plant leadership, ensuring HR processes, culture, and capabilities enable strong operational performance and a fair, compliant, and motivating work environment. This is a unique opportunity to build HR foundations from the ground up for a greenfield operation.   Key Responsibilities Strategic HR Leadership Partner with department heads and managers to design and implement HR policies aligned with corporate and division guidelines. Support business planning activities and participate in operational and performance reviews. Plan short- and long-term manpower needs in alignment with business evolution and plant budgets. Advise leadership on organizational design, staffing strategies, and workforce planning. People Management & Development Lead the end‑to‑end recruitment process for managers, technicians, supervisors, and key staff; oversee onboarding and induction activities. Evaluate organizational needs, update job descriptions, and adapt reference profiles to local context. Manage competency development, performance reviews, succession planning, and workforce development initiatives. Assess training needs; deploy annual training plans and monitor training efficiency and costs. Compensation, Benefits & Employee Well‑Being Ensure consistent application of compensation and benefits policies across the site. Conduct market-based pay benchmarking in collaboration with Corporate HR. Support welfare programs, government incentives, and subsidy optimization. Lead actions to improve engagement following employee survey results. HR Operations, Payroll & Compliance Ensure the reliability and security of the payroll process; safeguard data access. Manage HR administrative processes, disciplinary matters, and reporting requirements. Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of social/labor law, ensuring local HR practices remain compliant. Manage work permits and legal requirements for foreign employees. Employee Relations & Communication Build strong relationships with employee representatives and maintain positive union relationships. Ensure transparent communication across the plant and oversee internal communication materials (boards, newsletters, etc.). Support plant HSE in promoting safe working conditions (where applicable). Greenfield-Specific Responsibilities As part of launching a new facility, you will: Set up HR processes and procedures aligned with OPmobility standards, local legislation, and site objectives. Recruit MOI and MOD and support the recruitment of technical and key positions. Design and implement training and induction plans to build a skilled, motivated, and high-performing team from the outset. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Turnover & absenteeism rate Headcount & labor cost management Recruitment and training efficiency metrics HR reporting accuracy and timeliness   Candidate Profile Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Management or related field; Masters degree is a plus. Strong experience in HR management within a manufacturing environment with a minimum of 5-7 years experience as a Generalist and experience with managing people. Demonstrated ability to work with leaders as a trusted advisor. High proficiency in all HR processes such as recruitment, training, employee relations, organizational development, and HR operations. Strong knowledge of federal and state labor law and HR compliance. Proven ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced, evolving environment—experience with greenfield or transformation environments is a plus.
