Description
Conduct routine and non-routine inspection of static equipment including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, piping systems, and structural components across the QAFCO fertilizer plant Perform and supervise Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities including UT, RT, MT, PT, and VT in accordance with ASNT, API, and ASME standards Carry out weld inspection and structural integrity assessments in compliance with CSWIP 3.1 / AWS / ISO standards; review and approve weld procedures and welder qualifications Assess corrosion, erosion, and degradation of plant equipment; recommend fitness-for-service (FFS) evaluations and risk-based inspection (RBI) strategies Maintain inspection records, equipment history files, and reports in the CMMS (SAP PM); ensure all documentation meets QAFCO and regulatory requirements Coordinate with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams during plant shutdowns and turnarounds to ensure inspection scope is completed on schedule Comply with QAFCO PTW system, HSE policies, and applicable industry codes (API 510, API 570, API 653) during all inspection activities Requirements Diploma in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or related Engineering discipline ASNT Level II certification (mandatory) in at least two NDT methods (UT, RT, MT, or PT) CSWIP 3.1 (Welding Inspector) or API 510 / API 570 / API 653 certification (mandatory) 4–6 years of hands-on plant inspection experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry; ammonia/urea or fertilizer plant experience is highly preferred Proven experience in shutdown/turnaround inspections, RBI methodology, and fitness-for-service assessments Familiarity with industry codes and standards: ASME VIII, API 510/570/653, AWS D1.1, and ISO 9712 Experience with SAP PM or equivalent CMMS for maintaining inspection records and history Candidates available to join immediately are strongly preferred
