Job Details Job Location: Montgomery, AL 36108 Plant Maintenance Job Overview Plant Maintenance is responsible for maintaining the Rock Screening Plant and Heavy Equipment to ensure the maximum amount of production. Responsibilities Follow company Safety Policies Maintenance of the Rock Screening Plant and Heavy Equipment Monitor operating temperatures of drive mechanisms and components such as bearings, motors, gear boxes, pumps, etc. Check belt tension on both V-belts and conveyor belts Check screen tension and replace screens as needed Repair/replace rubber skirting Check/adjust pulleys, rollers, idlers, bearings, and shafts Produce daily equipment inspections and document findings Ensure greasing is performed properly on all equipment and screens Work with management on planning and scheduling maintenance Any other miscellaneous duties as assigned Qualifications Qualifications 18 years old or older Ability to operate Heavy Equipment Experience with resolving electrical issues preferred Plant maintenance experience required Heavy Equipment maintenance experience required Welding/Fabrication Can manage multiple priorities or projects simultaneously and keep them progressing to completion. Willing to work flexible hours and conditions Physical Qualifications Strength and Endurance: Ability to exert force when pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying objects, often weighing 50 pounds. Ability to lift 100 pounds occasionally. Mobility: Frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, reaching, twisting, and climbing. Hand-Eye Coordination: Precise control of levers, pedals, and other controls on the machinery. Vision: Good depth perception and clear vision to accurately gauge distances and identify potential hazards. Hearing: Ability to hear instructions and machine sounds.
