Job Summary: The role of Plant maintenance involves ensuring that all equipment, machinery, and systems in a plant are operating efficiently. This requires physical strength and hand-eye coordination. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: * Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting machinery to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance. * Monitor the performance of equipment and machinery to identify areas for improvement and suggest modifications or upgrades. * Maintain accurate records of all maintenance tasks performed, including the date, time, and cost of repairs. * Communicate with management and other team members to provide updates on maintenance activities and coordinate repairs. * Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with equipment and machinery to identify the root cause of the issue and develop effective solutions. * May also be responsible for assisting with other tasks around the job site, such as manual labor and cleaning. QUALIFICATIONS: * Must have 1 year of experience in a Rock Quarry Plant or Ready-Mix Plant. Repair, weld, and torch experience preferred. * Must be able to follow safety procedures and work effectively in a high-pressure environment. * Some electrical knowledge/experience * Attention to detail. * Requires physical strength and hand-eye coordination. * The ability to work well in a team. * Strong communication skills. * Strong understanding of safety protocols EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: * A high school diploma or equivalent; Previous MSHA training is a plus. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: * Standing for prolonged periods * Lifting to 50 lbs. * Crouching * Walking * Works in many different weather conditions Pay depends on experience
