Description:
Thrive Freeze Dry, a rapidly growing freeze-dried manufacturing company is recruiting for experienced Maintenance Technician for our office in Langley , BC reporting to the Maintenance Manager. This opportunity is for the night shift primarily responsible for conducting, maintaining, testing and repairing all production line equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or certification in industrial maintenance, mechanical engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Millwright certification will be an asset.
- Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience in a food manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Knowledge of PLC systems, industrial automation, and control systems is an advantage.
- Proficiency in the use of maintenance tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Basic computer literacy, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
- Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset to work with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, vacuum, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic systems to ensure seamless operation.
- Plan and execute advanced corrective and preventive maintenance, applying in-depth knowledge of mechanical theories and principles.
- Drive measurable improvements in both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, minimizing equipment downtime and enhancing reliability.
- Accurately document daily activities, including maintenance logs, downtime reports, completed work orders, preventive maintenance records, inventory slips, material requisitions, and Maintenance Work Requests.
- Ensure proper lubrication and inspection of all equipment checkpoints, maintaining optimal performance and longevity.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure conformances of standards.
