Description
You will be responsible for the overall management, direction, and coordination of plant operations. By delegating authority to key functional staff, you will ensure the attainment of production objectives at the lowest cost, while meeting customer and quality requirements. You will oversee all production and related activities at the company, including production, manufacturing engineering, materials, logistics, purchasing, supplier and product quality, finances, safety, and human resources. Must work consistently to maintain safe and healthy working conditions, adhere to proper operating practices and procedures designed to prevent injury and illness, and observe all governmental, regional, and company safety and health regulations. Lead through stewardship of the site's organizational culture. o Tactical operational plans (e.g., Profit Plan Goal) o Strategic plans aligned with divisional and group operational strategies Select, motivate, and develop personnel to ensure a qualified staff. Provide guidance to the leadership team's functional areas in the development and deployment of the Capital Plan, annual Profit Plan, and Strategic Plan in alignment with the overall divisional group level plan. Provide direction and overall leadership and support for Cost Out initiatives at both the plant and divisional levels. Create an atmosphere and provide leadership that allows each manager to utilize their full potential to accomplish plant and divisional objectives. Support and/or participate in continuous improvement activities such as Kaizen, Ideas Programs, cost out, and demonstrate improvements in goals year over year in processes or practices aligned to achieve business goals and objectives. Participate in PROLaunch as a Decision Gate Committee (DGC) member when required. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution required Minimum of 10 years of progressive professional experience in manufacturing operations, supply chain, and engineering Minimum of 2 years as a Plant Manager Experience in Lean Manufacturing Techniques, as well as Safety/Environmental compliance experience Minimum of 5 years within a complex, matrixed, multinational organization Experience leading a site transformation, product launch and process development Bilingual abilities (English/Spanish) a plus Good understanding of budgeting, forecasting, capital expenditure analysis, and wage and salary administration Ability to work cross functionally and drive results even without authority Strong communication skills; comfortable facilitating teams and groups and working with all levels in the organization Perseverance and leadership to manage projects and drive for results Ability to plan, organize, build effective teams, and motivate others Innovative mindset and ability to facilitate team sessions We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
