Description
The Plant Manager will provide leadership for the Life Science segment of the Filtration Division. The Plant Manager is responsible for driving strategic and operational leadership at the site. You will drive profit and loss, growth strategy and organizational direction to meet and exceed the short and long-term business goals. The Plant Manager would also collaborate with the EMEA leadership team and reporting to the Global Operations Director. Manage both operational leadership team and functional staff including Quality, Finance, Continuous Improvement, Environmental Health & Safety, Human Resources, Supply Chain, Engineering and Maintenance. Must work consistently to maintain safe and healthy working conditions, to adhere to proper operating practices and procedures designed to prevent injury and illness and to observe all governmental, regional and company safety and health regulations. Ensure Plant competitive advantage for quality and service excellence is maintained for the customer base. Provide support on new product development priorities, pricing actions, and portfolio management. Develop plans to achieve world class high five metrics (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, and Inventory). Work collaboratively to end cost improvement analysis and implement actions. Drives the plant digital transformation, defining and executes industry 4.0 strategies. Champion on the Business continuity management (BCM) level. Create an environment to engage employees and ensure high levels of employee satisfaction. Provide leadership and oversight of continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen 5 S and VSM) , the quality management system, and EHS initiatives aligned with MESH requirements. Select, motivate, and develop an employee group that has the skills to achieve business objectives. Develop and implement capital plans to support the manufacturing strategy. Partner with Human Resources to drive a talent management strategy, developing a capable team leader to build a strong succession plan within and outside your organization. Develop plans to increase productivity and continually improve the product cost structure. Ensure compliance with all government, financial, environmental, and labor regulations as required. Bachelor's or master's degree of engineering, manufacturing or supply chain 10+ years of experience with progressive levels of accountability and responsibility in roles focused on Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, OPEX and/or related support functions in a manufacturing/production environment. 5+ years of leadership experience developing high performing teams of people. Proficiency in German and English languages Degree of Business Administration (MBA) is preferred. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Process Variation Reduction (Six Sigma) Experience on Paper making, injection molding and assembly operations. Knowledge of financial concepts and techniques utilized to establish value propositions of operational changes. Other language is beneficial. Experience in leading change Ability to engage and motivate a team to achieve results
