POSITION OVERVIEW

As Plant Manager, you are the heartbeat of our client’s operations—ensuring everything runs safely, efficiently, and on budget. You’ll oversee health and safety, employee relations, manufacturing performance, quality, shipping, inventory, and maintenance. You’ll also play a key role in implementing company objectives, driving continuous improvement, and recommending impactful investment opportunities.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5–10 years of experience in production or plant management within an automated industrial setting.

SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

  • Bilingual in English and French is an asset.
  • Strong integrity, professionalism, and emotional intelligence.
  • Excellent leadership, communication (verbal & written), and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and navigate complex team dynamics.
  • Initiative-driven attitude with a strong sense of ownership.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic & Operational Leadership
    – Develop and monitor the plant’s strategy, operational plan, monthly targets, and financial goals.

– Ensure all departments deliver results that meet or exceed expectations.

  • Health & Safety Compliance

– Oversee occupational health and safety standards, actively chairing safety committees and promoting best practices.

  • Production & Performance Oversight

– Take full accountability for daily site operations.

– Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) across all functions—production, maintenance, quality, shipping, supply chain, and energy.

  • Budget & Continuous Improvement

– Manage the production budget and drive cost-efficiency.

– Design and champion continuous improvement initiatives, fostering a culture of innovation.

  • Team Leadership & Development

– Forecast HR needs, oversee recruitment, and support skill development.

– Inspire interdisciplinary collaboration among production, maintenance, quality, shipping, procurement, and environmental teams.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

– Work closely with R&D, marketing, technical teams, project management, logistics, and sales to align plant operations with broader business objectives.

– Coordinate with other Godspeed Group plants to promote synergy and shared best practices.

  • Market-Informed Strategy

– Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, and Sales leadership to analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and economic factors—shaping plant strategy accordingly.

  • Additional Duties

– Carry out other tasks as directed by the Director of Operations.
