Description

Prelco is looking for a Plant Manager who is willing to take on the challenge of bringing the operations of our window and door solutions in the transportation industries to their full potential. Responsibilities
  • Lead the teams and activities of our plant specializing in the development and assembly of our factory specialized in framed systems for rail, marine, transit and defence industries, located in Belleville, ON, as well as manage our assembly plant in Plattsburgh, NY.
  • Approximately forty individuals fall under your direct and indirect supervision.
  • Develop a culture and practices of prevention and ensure a safe work environment.
  • Analyze performance, production flow, use of raw materials, labor and equipment and manage improvement actions.
  • Actively engage with teams in problem solving to enable the delivery of complex, quality, timely and complete products.
  • Develop and improve equipment maintenance and upkeep programs.
  • Establish operating budgets and ensure that the financial performance objectives of the sites under your responsibility are met.
  • Ensure that the quality system in place ensures that products meet quality standards, customer expectations and is fully compliant with industry regulations and standards.
  • Communicate objectives and priorities, and foster team collaboration and development, as well as maintaining good working relationships.
  • Support sustainable development and social responsibility orientations.
  • Initiate and ensure the implementation of development and continuous improvement projects to support the manufacturing group’s growth strategy.
