Description Plant Operations Supervisor We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Plant Operations Supervisor to oversee the daily functions of our manufacturing plant. This leadership role is vital to ensuring smooth, efficient, and high-quality plant operations while fostering a safe and positive work environment. Key Responsibilities: Open and close the plant daily, ensuring all procedures are followed accurately and efficiently. Manage day-to-day plant operations to maintain consistent, high-quality production standards. Lead and oversee plant personnel, providing guidance, support, and supervision to ensure operational excellence. Safely batch concrete and load trucks according to order specifications, maintaining high efficiency and quality standards. Enter material tickets into the back-office system accurately and promptly. Prepare daily operational packets, including batch tickets, material tickets, daily truck sheets, and other relevant documentation. Uphold all safety, environmental, and operational policies without exception. Contribute to a positive, team-oriented culture that aligns with the company’s core values. Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience in plant operations, manufacturing, or a related field. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent understanding of safety and environmental regulations. Ability to operate batching equipment and load trucks efficiently. Proficiency in data entry and familiarity with back-office systems. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. 4-6 years of related experience in concrete batching, plant operations, or a similar production environment. Possess ACI Level I Certification or can obtain ACI Level I Certification within six months of employment. Possess SCDOT Concrete Technician – Batching Certification or can obtain SCDOT Concrete Technician – Batching Certification within six months of employment. Thorough knowledge of all aspects of concrete batching technology, equipment, methods, and safety. Ability to work early mornings, nights, and weekends as needed. Prior supervisory / management experience. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to interact with drivers and customers. Superior organizational skills and ability to successfully manage multiple priorities and projects. Eagerness to achieve and maintain a level of excellence in customer service. Good aptitude for coordination, planning, and scheduling. Ability to work productively with minimal supervision. Ability to work in high pressure situations under tight deadlines. Physical Demands: Ability to safely lift a minimum of 75 lbs. Ability to climb, stoop, bend, squat, lift, stretch, push, pull, twist, kneel, stand, walk, sit, reach, and operate a computer keyboard. Ability to safely climb up and down stairs and/or ladders. Ability to work primarily outside, with exposure to the extremes of hot or cold weather. EEO
