Our SBB team is seeking a motivated and engaging leader to be our next Plant Manager in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan. This role is ideal for someone who is looking to gain or build on existing operational experience and expedite their progression within Tolko. We’re looking for a Plant Manager to join our Meadow Lake OSB Division, located in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan. Meadow Lake employs 155 employees and safely and sustainably produces 700 million square feet of OSB every year for customers around the world so they can build their homes and their communities.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:

A minimum of 5 years related manufacturing experience.
A proven track record in leading and engaging teams.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, team building and collaboration skills.
Experience in planning, goal setting, and project management.
Knowledge of production or maintenance functions.
Strong safety commitment and performance.
A post-secondary degree or diploma is considered an asset.
Demonstrated application of lean manufacturing/continuous improvement principles is also considered an asset.

Responsibilities:

Provide day-to-day direction and leadership support to site management.
Work across departments to maximize the productivity of equipment, people and resources.
Work with site management and employees to identify and eliminate safety hazards and execute the mill’s safety programs.
Support employee development through coaching, feedback and performance management.
Facilitate and support the development and implementation of employee engagement activities.
Oversee operational functions and capital projects to ensure the product and projects are delivered on time and to specifications.
Manage the divisional budget, provide variance analysis and participate in capital planning and implementation processes.
Facilitate and support a culture that explores innovative ideas to further Tolko’s strategic plan.
