If you're ready to put your skills to work on projects that matter — and build a career with a company that’s building North America — we want to hear from you!  ABOUT THE ROLE As a member of the Dundas site team, Plant Operator Assistants will execute the daily tasks of operating and maintaining plant equipment in accordance with Amrize’s Best Practices and Policies as well as perform all administration related to the equipment’s operation. This role operates under a 1-week rotational schedule (Days, Nights, Afternoons).   WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH Equipment Operation: Ensure assigned equipment is operated and maintained to original equipment manufacturer specifications and industry best practices. Operate various types of equipment on site including crushers, conveyors, rock trucks, front end loaders, bulldozers, graders, and drills. Maintenance: Perform daily inspections as part of our preventative maintenance program to ensure maintenance is scheduled and completed as required. Perform other duties as assigned to assist in the efficient operation of the plant and site. Execute manual labour tasks as required for site operations. Safety: Promote a positive safety culture through leadership by example. Perform all work activities following all relevant safety policies/procedures ensuring alignment with the company’s vision and critical success factors. Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.   WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR Education: Canadian secondary school diploma or equivalent. Experience: Industrial plant operation experience is considered an asset. Experience: Heavy equipment operation experience is considered an asset.   Additional Requirements: This position requires extensive liaison and cross training with other departments. Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
