Franciscan Health Dyer Campus 24 Joliet St Dyer, Indiana 46311 The Plant Operator II provides physical plant construction and maintenance services for hospital facilities in, under the direction of engineering senior management. This position assesses, prioritizes, troubleshoots, and repairs facility components requiring design, life-cycle planning, repair, replacement, or new installation. The Plant Operator II performs duties in compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, building standards, and hospital policies. The Plant Operator II leads the physical plant team in the operation, maintenance, repair, and installation of general building components, equipment, and apparatus, to provide a comfortable and safe hospital environment. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT Schedule: Need to be flexible to work any day of the week. Will work all shifts. Holidays are on a rotation schedule. Supply safe, reliable utilities. Start, monitor, perform and maintain equipment. Perform preventative maintenance on plant equipment. Repair or replace malfunctioning equipment. Maintain equipment comprising the hospital utility systems. Life Safety Systems Management. Maintenance of safe workplace. Effective team functioning.
