  • A valid Class MR driver’s licence (or willingness to obtain one within 3 months) and a NSW WHS General Induction Card (White card) are essential.
  • Experience in a similar role, with skills in operating tractors, ride-on mowers, and wood-chippers.
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety practises.
  • A solid understanding of WHS and safe working methods.

YOUR ROLE AS A PLANT OPERATOR

As a Plant Operator, you will play a crucial role in the ongoing maintenance of our horticultural assets across the Shire. This physical and fulfilling position requires self-management and teamwork to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently, effectively, and safely.
In these roles, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including operating horticultural equipment, applying chemicals as needed and maintaining high standards of safety and service delivery. Your contributions will directly support the community’s enjoyment of safe and accessible open spaces.
