Responsibilities
  1. Plan and carry out fieldwork to collect plant disease samples and conduct glasshouse and field-based, experiments to prove disease
    causality and to test control measures.
  2. Effectively triage and process samples submitted to the laboratory for diagnosis, and downstream molecular studies.
  3. Conduct plant pathogen diagnostics using various tools including both conventional and molecular tools, and report findings.
  4. Contribute to laboratory maintenance, quality systems including documentation, procurement, and curation of the plant disease
    collections and pathogens.
  5. Provide support to ongoing research projects and contribute to the development of new projects.
  6. Participate in plant biosecurity emergency responses as needed.
