Job Description ob Description Roles and Responsibilities: Manage local Plant Purchasing Team team: ▪ Establish and maintain appropriate resources and ensure consistency in competence, motivation and efficiency of the team ▪ Coach and develop team and employees ▪ Control the target achievements for a local Plant Purchasing team ▪ Actively support the team in case of problems and escalation Handle day-to-day supplier escalations and complex supply chain issues Coordinate with Global Category teams for required support Maintain excellent cross-functional and networking skills Implement Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) Ensure timely execution of ECRs across the supply chain Collaborate with engineering teams to understand and communicate changes effectively Negotiate Supplier Claims Analyze and resolve supplier claims efficiently Maintain fair and mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers Manage Annual Contracts Oversee yearly contracts for Electronics & Electromechanics suppliers Align with global commodities for India location Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements Handle Supply Chain Management Escalations Proactively identify and resolve supply chain issues Implement strategies to maintain uninterrupted supplies Align with Global Stakeholders Collaborate with global category purchasing and finance teams Manage commercial topics with suppliers effectively Support New Project Development Assist in the development of Electronics and Electromechanics components Provide purchasing expertise during product design and development phases Utilize SAP Systems Demonstrate proficiency in SAP for purchasing and supply chain management Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the system Manage International Suppliers Develop and maintain relationships with global Electronics and Electromechanical suppliers Navigate cultural differences and international business practices Conduct Market Analysis Research market trends and pricing for electronics and electromechanical components Provide insights to inform purchasing strategies and decisions Implement Cost Reduction Initiatives Identify opportunities for cost savings in the supply chain Collaborate with suppliers to optimize pricing and terms Ensure Compliance and Quality Standards Monitor supplier performance against quality and compliance metrics Implement corrective actions when necessary Participate in Supplier Audits Conduct or assist in supplier audits to ensure adherence to company standards Provide feedback and recommendations for supplier improvement Contribute to Inventory Management Work with inventory control teams to optimize stock levels Balance inventory costs with production needs and supplier lead times Foster Innovation in Purchasing Processes Propose and implement innovative solutions to improve purchasing efficiency Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in supply chain management Qualifications -Engineering Graduate with 12~15 years of experience in Purchasing preferably with Electronics background.
