Description

You will be required to travel to sites in and around Cornwall (all within 10 miles of another), with occasional visits to sites in Devon and Dorset
Hours of work: 37.5 hours a week, working Monday to Friday 8pm – 4pm (flexibility required)

Responsibilities

You will be working closely with Regional Category Managers and be the single point of contact for the Plant Managers of the designated sites, managing relationships and bringing in the correct stakeholders.
The main objective of this role is to ensure the effective purchasing operation of Imerys sites, covering the mining and refining sites in the South West.

The main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Supplier management
  • Responsible for the Source to Contract process for local OpEx / CapEx purchases
  • UK Purchasing lead for measurement/ instrumentation, small mobile plant, garage services and conveyor categories, and others
  • Responsible of the deployment and application of the global/regional contracts
  • Ensure compliance of the sites with purchasing strategy and with the internal rules and purchasing policy
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with Sustainability and EHS goals for their remit
  • Responsible for all SAP (ERP system) approvals and controls (validation of suppliers, implementation/management contracts, PO authorisation)
