JOB SUMMARY:   To inspect incoming labeling components and manage labeling operations and inventory.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILIITIES:   1. Sample and inspect incoming labeling components using an electronic inspection system.  Record and review documentation for accuracy and completeness. Coordinate the inspection of the labeling components with other PAI departments to support packaging operations.   2. Stage labeling items as per the packaging schedule for all buildings.   3. Count incoming labeling materials according to an AQL Sampling Plan to determine accuracy of the vendor count, essential for accurate labeling accountability.  Enter counts into a spreadsheet, used to track supplier performance.     4. Disposition components in accordance with the appropriate specifications and procedures.  Perform the appropriate computer transactions.   5. Maintains all working areas in a clean and orderly state.  Assures that products are stored and segregated and clearly labeled.   6. Performs inventory reconciliations and report discrepancies immediately to Manager.   7. Develop a working knowledge of cGMPs, SOPs, and FDA regulations.   8. Perform other related duties as required or assigned.   EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:   High School Diploma or GED.  1+ years of QA experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.  Ability to work on first shift, as well as overtime when required.  Ability to perform the physical tasks associated with sampling and inspecting.  Must be organized, reliable and detail oriented.  Needs to be able to multi-task and prioritize effectively.  Must be able to lift and carry 30lbs.   EQUIPMENT AND MACHINES:   Basic computer skills to include the use of MS Word and MS Excel.  Operate a hand truck, label counter, barcode scanner, scale/balance, and scientific calculator.  Occasional use of fork lift may be required.     PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:   The physical requirements and working conditions listed for this job are representative of those required on the job.
