EDUCATION

  • BS Degree in Engineering or Science required.

EXPERIENCE

  • 8-10 years minimum experience with demonstrated progressive roles within the quality function.
  • Experience managing quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment required.
  • Must possess demonstrated leadership and analytical abilities to facilitate rapid problem resolution in a team environment.
  • Working knowledge and proficiency using quality analysis and tools such as root cause analysis, 8D, DOE, FMEA; Six Sigma Lean or DMAIC a plus
  • Must have participated in or led the implementation of an ISO 9000 quality system; understanding of BRC or SQF requirements for Food Safe Packaging a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Hazard Control Plans and Risk Mitigation in terms of product safety desired.

SKILLS

  • Ability to provide leadership to influence the quality activities and performance internally and externally (at customers and suppliers).
  • Ability to convincingly present solutions based on findings to customers, suppliers, management, and team members.
  • Decisiveness and ability to make quick decisions.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills

NON-MANDATORY JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Science, or Business Administration
  • Professional certifications such as American Society for Quality CMQ/OE, CQE, CRE, CSSBB, CQA
  • Previous experience in plastic injection molding, forming, high speed automated assembly, or automotive manufacturing is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Hazard Assessment and Control Point process
