  • Practical experience conducting plant trials in both greenhouse and field settings, including data collection and analysis
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join BioLumic’s Science and Agronomy team in Champaign to develop and test our cutting-edge light-activation technology that unlocks valuable traits in crops, and maximizes crop potential. This role is central to advancing BioLumic’s core programs and translating scientific innovation into real-world impact for agriculture.

WHAT YOU DO

Research & Development

  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Agronomy to ensure successful delivery of projects against product development milestones.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team to design and deliver experiments that drive strategic progress.

Scientific Execution

  • Plan, execute, and analyze BioLumic trait screening and scientific development trials using advanced skills in seed and plant physiology, experimental design, and statistical data analysis.
  • Apply phenotyping approaches to assess plant responses and performance under BioLumic technology applications.

Reporting & Data Management

  • Communicate experimental results clearly to the broader Science and Agronomy teams.
  • Incorporate feedback and input from team members to refine research approaches.
  • Use spreadsheets, statistical software, and database tools to store, analyze, and integrate findings with previous research.

Health & Safety

  • Follow all BioLumic Health & Safety policies and actively contribute to a safe work environment.
