JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Plant and Vehicle marshal to join our team. The candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe movement of vehicles and equipment on site, facilitating effective communication between operators and ground personnel. This position requires an individual who is attentive, proactive, and capable of working in a dynamic environment.

SKILLS

  • Proficient in English, with excellent communication skills to convey instructions clearly.
  • Strong observational skills to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Capable of building effective working relationships with colleagues at all levels.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
    Must have a NPORS or CPCS vehicle & plant marshal ticket and CSCS.
    Please note there may be 12hr working day requirements and wknd working.

    Pay: £20.00-£30.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Direct and guide the movement of lorries and machinery on site to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Communicate clearly with operators using hand signals and radios to prevent accidents.

  • Assist in the loading and unloading of materials, ensuring proper handling techniques are followed.
  • Maintain a clear line of sight with all moving vehicles and equipment at all times.
  • Report any incidents or near misses to management promptly.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations throughout the site.
