DESIRED EDUCATION AND SKILLS

  • Completion of post-secondary education in a relevant discipline from a recognized institution, preferably in science/health-related fields of study.
  • Completion of an accredited training program in phlebotomy is an asset.
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive experience working with the public, particularly in a high customer-focused environment.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new systems and programs. Previous knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook are considered assets.
  • Knowledge of and experience working with current Good Manufacturing Practices.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Regular part-time Plasma Associate to join our dynamic Collections Operations East team.
The Collections Operations East is responsible for supporting Canadian Blood Services by collecting plasma establishing the planning framework and operational infrastructure necessary to meet plasma collection goals, advancing our strategy in securing a domestic supply of plasma for immune globulin and ensuring Canadians have access to these life-saving products. In this role, you will act as an ambassador of the plasma donation program and promote and contribute to a collaborative and donor-centric work environment.
