JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled Plasterer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastering and related trades, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. This role involves applying plaster, rendering, and finishing surfaces to a high standard, ensuring quality workmanship in all projects undertaken.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in plastering or a related trade is essential.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and equipment relevant to plastering.
  • Knowledge of bricklaying and masonry techniques is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with carpentry and roofing practices will be advantageous.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and specifications accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare surfaces for plastering by cleaning, repairing, and priming as necessary.
  • Apply plaster to walls and ceilings using hand tools and power tools to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Work with various materials including traditional lime-based plasters and modern gypsum plasters.
  • Carry out bricklaying and masonry tasks as required, ensuring structural integrity and aesthetic appeal.
  • Collaborate with carpenters and roofers on projects that require integration of plasterwork with other building elements.
  • Perform welding tasks when necessary to support structural work or repairs.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Assist in the training of apprentices or less experienced staff as needed.
