JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Plasterer’s Labourer to support our plastering teams working on ECO4-funded energy efficiency projects. This role involves assisting with the preparation and finishing of internal and external wall insulation installations, ensuring works are completed to high quality and compliance standards.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as a Plasterer or in a similar role within the construction industry
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and masonry equipment
  • Knowledge of bricklaying techniques is advantageous
  • Familiarity with carpentry and roofing practices is desirable
  • Basic welding skills would be beneficial but not essential
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team

Responsibilities
  • Assist plasterers with all aspects of plastering work, including mixing materials, carrying tools, and boarding walls.
  • Prepare work areas by protecting furniture, removing debris, and ensuring a clean and safe environment.
  • Support in applying base coats, mesh reinforcement, and render finishes for internal/external wall insulation systems.
  • Maintain cleanliness of tools, equipment, and work areas.
  • Load and unload materials from vehicles, ensuring correct storage and handling.
  • Follow health & safety procedures, including safe manual handling and correct PPE usage.
  • Assist in waste removal and recycling in line with site environmental policies.
  • Work cooperatively with other trades to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Report any defects, hazards, or quality issues to the site supervisor immediately.
