Description

We are looking for a hands-on engineer with solid plastic fabrication skills to join our manufacturing team and help us build and fit reliable, high quality products- someone who’s just as comfortable in the workshop as they are carrying out site fitting work.

Responsibilities

In this permanent, full-time role, you will fabricate and install everything from our standard fan ranges to high value, one off fume scrubbers, and ductwork installation projects.
The products we fabricate include fan cases, fume scrubbers, tanks, rectangular ductwork, large diameter circular ductwork, transition sections and more.
You should be competent in cutting, folding, and welding plastic sheets such as Polypropylene and PVC. Most of APMG’s fabrication work are carried out using Leister/Wegener welding torches, extrusion welder, jig saws, angle grinders, beam saw, folding machine and butt welder etc.
You should be adaptable and competent to work on various sites across the UK to install and commission fume scrubbers, fans, and ductwork projects. You should be willing to work away from home and overnight for several days at a time, depending on where customer sites are located, and the size of the contract. There may also be the need for occasional weekend working.
